We camped there 3 times during the 2013 season. The first time was at the end of May, shortly after opening. Beautiful, peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Lot's of various birds chirping and deer roaming through the park. Hardly any other campers in the park...it was paradise.
The second time there was in the middle of July. Same birds and deer throughout the park, and the addition of children running wildly unsupervised everywhere. Extremely noisy and it carried on into the night. Some of the parents were just as bad with the combination of alcohol and music carrying on into the wee hours of the night.
We did go back again in the fall, and it was as beautiful and peaceful as our first trip there. Canoeing was excellent on the lake, and the fishing was good as well.
The park overall is very clean and seems to be well managed.
We will return again, but only in the spring and fall. AB Camping Tips AB Campground Reservations Visit Alberta Fire Bans for information on fire bans throughout the province of Alberta. |
