We thought Red Lodge was the poorest kept of all the Provincial Campgrounds. We stayed July 26-28, 2013. The firepits weren't cleaned out between visitors and were often filled with garbage. The toilet paper was always out in the ladies washroom so we started bringing our own. The showers didn't work and when they did it was a single stream like a weak garden hose. Once in the morning there was garbage and the contents of the feminine hygeine bins all over the floor. There was a bat in the mens washroom for the entire weekend and the wildlife officers seemed not too interested in taking action.
We did enjoy the river edge, even though there had been flooding. The park was fun and clean and the kids enjoyed making crafts that were offered. The campground was fairly quiet. We thought there would have been more interpretive information/activities for a Provincial park though. Because the washrooms were so brutal we don't think we'll return.
