    SHE SAYS
    (1/6/2010)

Really enjoyed this campground. The lake is amazing and we enjoyed taking our rented boat across to the other side for some exploring and a beach picnic. The beach area is large. There isn't a lot of sites here but the lake can be very busy. One thing I didn't like was that supplies were quite a drive away. The small store there does not have much. The showers are located at the entrance of the campground and there was only two so we waited in line most days. They were clean though. The managers of the campground were on site and very helpful and friendly. Defintely going back!
Making reservations was an easy and enjoyable process:
Reception upon arrival at campground was a good experience. :
Cleanliness of boating, park and beach areas:
    Cleanliness of public areas :
This camp ground was quiet and family friendly.:

Pros: • Beautiful lake and mountain views if you have a lake front view • Lots of sandy beach if you are camping in July ( reservoir lake usually full by mid August ) • Lake is very clean and great to swim in • Lake is long lots of room for boaters • Has a store with little selection some fishing lures, Ice, ice cream and candy • Showers two for women one for the men 1$/5min ( not as clean as they could be cleaned about every second to third day ) • Good well water very clean • Has a sani dump • Pay phone out side of gate • Has a boat launch • Boat gas and propane Cons: • VERY, VERY expensive after HST worked out to almost $50/night ( Has no services camp ground is on government lease land that is used for cattle grazing in off season) • Upon arrival was told that our camp fee did not include boat launch that was another $30 flat rate fee and at the same time told that our camp fee did not include showers. • Inverter generators only and can only be run from 8am to 10 pm • No cell services, cell’s ping off the Montana tower so you will get a 1.45/min charge for any calls • Fire wood is $8 a bundle ( very small bundles 3 to 4 hours will burn two bundles so if you don’t bring your own wood or chain saw to cut some in the back woods cost about 10 to 16 dollars a night in fire wood ( we went and cut our own)) • Has no laundry facility • 1 hour drive to the closest point for emergency services or food. ( the 37 KM road in is windy can not speed on it ) • Camp site are very dust you will have sand and dust through out your camping unit. • If you break down it will be a very expensive fix closest place with services is 1 hour away. • Bought 4 ice cream treats for the kids cost $21 • Boat gas on site $1.19/L No playground, lots of spear grass and other prickly plants that kept getting stuck to the kids and into the skin
